Job 19:25

For I know that my Redeemer lives,
    and at the last he will stand upon the earth.^[a]

Matthew 1:1

The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Matthew 1:16-17

¹⁶ and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called Christ.

¹⁷ So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.

Luke 1:28-33

²⁸ And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!”^{[a] 29} But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. ³⁰ And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. ³¹ And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. ³² He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, ³³ and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
